Please join us for the Natalie Mayer Lecture on April 16th with speaker Cutcha Risling Baldy, whose research focuses on Indigenous feminisms, Californian Indians, Environmental Justice, Traditional ecological knowledge, and decolonization. Her book, "We Are Dancing For You: Native Feminisms and the Revitalization of Women's Coming of Age Ceremonies" won "Best First Book in Native and American Indigenous Studies" at the 2019 Native American Indigenous Studies Association Conference.
This event will also honor the legacy of our donor, Natalie Mayer, who was dedicated to teaching others about the Native American experience.
