Richard D. Moe Organ Recital Series: Angela Kraft Cross, Organist

Classic to Contemporary

Acclaimed organist and composer Angela Kraft Cross presents music that spans nearly five centuries. Her program will include works by Baroque masters Jean-Adam Guilain and Georg Muffat, Romantic favorites by César Franck and Felix Mendelssohn, and two of her own original compositions based on favorite hymn tunes.

Angela Kraft Cross, San Francisco Bay Area organist, pianist and composer, is a double degree graduate of Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music, where she studied Organ Performance and Physics before earning her Doctor of Medicine at Loma Linda University. A retired Kaiser Permanente eye surgeon, she deeply enjoys teaching organ, composing (8 published books with Lorenz), performing concerts, and volunteering in her local Samaritan House Free Clinic. She has been Organist and Artist-in-Residence at the Congregational Church of San Mateo since 1993.
