The Kon-Tiki Museum at 75: the origins and development of one of Norway’s most popular attractions
Join us for a special presentation by Kon-Tiki Museum curator and renowned Norwegian archaeologist, Reidar Solsvik. His lecture, "The Kon-Tiki Museum at 75," will explore how the museum grew from a simple display of Thor Heyerdahl's famous raft into a vibrant cultural institution. He has conducted archaeological field-work in the Pacific and is the author of numerous scholarly articles. Reidar is the co-author of a recent book, Drømmen om paradis: Thor Heyerdahl på Påskeøya, which documents Heyerdahl’s expedition to Easter Island/Rapa Nui.
Don't miss this opportunity to delve into the incredible history behind Heyerdahl's expeditions and the museum that keeps his legacy alive.
